Clear Hills: A World Class Iron, Vanadium, and Gold Project

226 million tonnes @33% Fe and 0.21% Vanadium (43-101 compliant) with potential for an addition 800 million tonnes of historical estimates to be brought into compliance with 43-101 standards.

Iron & Vanadium: Strategic Minerals Development

Ironstone Resources Ltd. is a privately held Canadian exploration and development company with strategic mineral deposits in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Ontario. The company is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.

Ironstone is currently developing its Clear Hills iron, vanadium and precious metals deposit in Alberta, with early-stage work being conducted on its Iron Lake, Ontario iron and precious metals prospect.

Incorporating both Ironstone’s Clear Hills 2008 drilling results with historical data on the northern Rambling Creek block, an initial NI 43-101 compliant 140Mt indicated and 63Mt inferred iron and 140Mt (617 million pounds) of indicated vanadium resource was reported by SRK Consultants (Canada) Inc. in October 2010.

During February and March 2011, the Company carried out a second drill program focused on extending the known ironstone deposit south of the Rambling Creek permit on to the North Whitemud River project area. Ironstone drilled a total of 148 holes and recovered 12,086m of core. Drill hole locations were set up at a nominal 400m spacing with some holes drilled at a 250m spacing to better define grade continuity within the ironstone.

SRK Consultants (Canada) Inc. incorporated the results of the Rambling Creek resource with the North Whitemud River resource in a revised NI 43-101 report in November 2011. Ironstone’s total compliant resource in the Clear Hills is currently 556.5Mt indicated Fe at 33.3%, 86.9Mt inferred Fe at 34.1%, and 2.45 billion pounds of indicated V2O5 (0.20% of the 556.5Mt indicated resource).

Ironstone, in conjunction with HATCH (Mississauga, ON) is advancing its ore processing work and has engaged several independent pilot plants to assist in completing development of the process flow sheet for direct reduction of Clear Hills ironstone into 95% hot briquetted iron (HBI) with secondary recovery of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5).

A bulk sample pit on the Rambling Creek block has been opened and 7,500 tonnes of ore has been stockpiled on the company’s Hines Creek property close to highway, with another 3,500 tonnes stockpiled at work site. The ore will be used to provide material for pre-pilot batch tests and continuous pilot operating campaigns.

Note: The disclosure of historical mineral resources do not use categories of mineral resources as set out in NI43-101. Additional drilling is required to verify the historical estimate as a current mineral resource. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical mineral resource as current and the Company is not treating the historical mineral resource as a current mineral resource.
