Ironstone: An Emerging Iron Giant

With an estimated resource base of over 1 billion tons of iron ore, strategic infrastructure, an experienced management team and advisors and a strong international demand for iron, Ironstone is poised to become a supplier of high quality iron for steel producers across the globe.
The Clear Hills of Alberta contains western Canada’s largest deposit of iron ore with an average grade of 34%. After a successful initial Winter 2008 drilling program, and follow-up plans to aggressively drill and prove-up its huge resource, Ironstone has embarked on a development program designed to meet the needs of its target customers.
The company is currently fast-tracking its 3-ton per hour pilot plant designed to demonstrate the efficacy of its ore to metallic iron process, with a planned commission date in the first quarter of 2009. Building on the success of the pilot, Ironstone expects to launch its commercial demonstration plant, producing 250,000 tons of metallic iron by 2013, with scale-up of operations to full production of 10 million tons of metallic iron per year commencing in 2015.
