Ironstone Completes its Winter 2008 Drilling Program

Winter Program Story

Ironstone completed its initial drilling program in the Clear Hills on its Rambling Creek block on March 6, 2008. The goal of this program was to obtain core in order to measure the iron resources on the block, which contain over 200 million tons of iron ore according to previous estimates.

The company drilled 53 holes and recovered 1,265 feet of iron-bearing core in 47 holes.

The company is currently sampling the core for submission to labs to assess the iron grade and mineralogy. Ironstone will be publishing the results in its NI 43-101F report prepared by a qualified geotechnical firm later this summer.

Barry Caplan, VP of Exploration and Development, was on hand throughout the program, and wishes to extend on behalf of Ironstone its gratitude to the many companies and individuals who made this program a great success, including:

Tyran Transport, Prime Contractor
GeoTech Drilling, Drilling Contractor
McElhanney Land Surveys, Surveyors
Roy Northern Land & Environmental, Land
Terracon Geotechnique Ltd., Qualified Geotechnical Consultants
