Iron Lake, Ontario

In July 2010, Ironstone successfully staked claims over an area encompassing 50 square kilometres in northeastern Ontario.

A historical geophysical survey identified a strong magnetic anomaly underlying the claims suggestive of magnetite (iron). The region is also well known for significant gold deposits including Detour Lake to the north.

Ironstone is currently performing a comprehensive review of the historical data with the expectation of conducting preliminary exploratory work in Q4 2011.
