North American Coal has recently completed Ironstone’s Clear Hills 25-year mine plan and cost estimate.
The mine plan features efficient and low-impact open pit mining methods including electric draglines for overburden removal and surface miners to mine the near-surface ore body. As the mining proceeds from north to south, remediation of the pit occurs relatively quickly to minimize its environmental footprint.
The preliminary mine plan is an important milestone of Ironstone’s Clear Hills project, and is a significant component of the company’s PEA to be published by SRK Consulting (Canada) in Q4 2015.
Ironstone is proud of its association with The North American Coal Corporation, which provides selected value-added mining services for natural resources companies. Its corporate headquarters is located in Plano, Texas near Dallas. North American Coal operates surface mines in North Dakota, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama and Louisiana, and also provides dragline mining services for independently owned limerock quarries in Florida.
